SWLRC Members Photo Upload
Apologies for the delay, but I had to find a suitable program that would allow users to upload their own photo's direct into existing or new galleries.
I've found one and tested it and it all works.
If you would like to be able to upload photo's direct to the web site please click here (this may take a while to open) for instructions on how to do it, you must be a registered user on the web site to use these instructions.

Last Updated (Saturday, 28 April 2012 07:28) Chairmans ChatUSK. What a fabulous day and what a fabulous turn out from our club. I couldn’t quite believe that so many of you had made the effort to travel, but wasn’t it worth it. The site was amazing with massive potential spread over a vast area. So much so that some were worried if they would have enough fuel for the day. The sections were set out as in the green book. Start easy and becoming progressively more difficult to finish. Both Bea and I were lucky enough to get a ride in the passenger seat for the CCV competition. Bea with our editor, and me with John. John is a member of the Wye & Welsh and we had not met before the competition, so I was delighted to be asked. The seat belt was a bit of a thing to put on but when it was on it was very good. I have never worn a 5 point harness before and after wrestling with it the first time was somewhat nervous but confident when somebody else I did not know walked past me and said, “You’re brave, sitting in with John the screamer!” At this point my blood pressure went up and my nerves became worse with all the time in the world, to sit in the truck, waiting for my driver wondering why he was called John the screamer! Now there are something’s you just don’t ask, so when John got in and said I have a plan, are you ready and buckled up, I didn’t ask about the plan or the screamer thing. All became crystal clear real soon. If there was a short cut to take, he took it, regardless of the ground, if he could have pushed the throttle through the floor to gain more power from that v8 he would have and he only closed his eyes and screamed at really scary bits. So nothing to worry about there then! I had a great day. We entered the last section on only 4 points but sadly the motor developed a fault and stalled giving us a 7 on that section. So that was that. The weather was great the site was great and I made a new friend, whom I would gladly get back in with at any time. As always the Wye & Welsh crowd looked after us very well and were superb hosts. They are trialling there again in September. I would urge you all to take the trip and take part. It is easy to find and is only around 15 miles from getting off of the Severn Bridge. The potential for the site to hold the 2013 Nationals is fantastic news.
News. We are going to hold a combined TYRO and Time Trial on the 15th July 2012 at the Mendip site, West Harptree, so pop it in your diary’s. Obviously the Wookey weekend is the weekend before but due to other commitments the Mendip site is only available this weekend in July, and the Ubly site is not available for this event at the moment. We have also just found out that the Compton Dando site is not available to use this year. We will obviously be rebooking the June trial at another venue, we’ll let you know. Sorry it’s such short notice. The Club will be attending the Land Rover Show at the Bath & West showground during the weekend of the 23rd and 24th of June 2012. I f you would like to help, please contact myself, Pete Thackery or Alex Morre.
I cant make the May trial, so have a good time, I hope the weather will be good. I’ll see you all in June, just be sure to keep an eye for the rebooking of the June event. J Stenner. Club Chairman. Last Updated (Saturday, 28 April 2012 06:40) |
